Most people who get in touch have been carrying something for a while. Some have been told it is stress and to wait it out. Some have tried once before and did not feel heard. Whatever brought you here, the starting point is the same: a proper conversation about what has actually been happening, and enough time to have it.
Physical health, social circumstances and environment all shape mental health, and none of them are separate from it. An assessment that ignores your sleep, your work or the people around you is not a complete assessment.
Where medication would help, you should understand what it is for, what it asks of you, and what happens if you would rather not. A plan you did not agree to is a plan you will stop following, and reasonably so.
Thoughts of self-harm, anger you are ashamed of, things you have never told anyone: these are ordinary parts of this work. Saying them out loud is what makes them treatable.

Clients can expect thorough assessments and a compassionate understanding of their individual mental health concerns. Treatment may also include medication management to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

Follow-up appointments to check how treatment is working, and to change course when it is not.

Having served, Geofrey K Kosgei does not need the culture explained to him first. That includes the families who carry a good deal of it: partners, parents and adult children of people who have served are welcome here too.

There is no right way to start the conversation, and no version of it that is too small to bring.
